Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, username and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store or see your actual password.
- Teaching details you give us: where you teach, your city and state, teaching settings, levels, ages, instruments, number of students, and how you heard about us.
- Subscription details from Stripe: your Stripe customer ID, subscription status and renewal date. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number.
- Basic logs: sign-in times and the IP address of failed sign-in attempts, used to protect accounts.
What we don’t collect
Student names, checklists and notes you enter in the Guide stay in your browser on your device. They are never sent to our server.
How we use it
To run your account and subscription, send account emails (confirmations, receipts, password resets, billing notices), understand who uses the Guide so we can improve it, and, only if you opted in, send occasional updates. We don’t sell or rent your information.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), and our web and email host (Bluehost), only as needed to run the service, or if required by law.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie and, if you choose “keep me signed in,” a remember-me cookie. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account information while you have an account. Email info@drumteachersguide.com to see, correct or delete it. Records Stripe needs for tax and accounting are kept by Stripe as the law requires.
Security
Passwords are hashed, the site uses HTTPS, and payment is handled by Stripe. No system is perfect, so please use a password you don’t use anywhere else.
